Montana born and raised Lindalee Voss Cleveland is best known for richly colored landscape, bird, and still-life paintings. She works primarily oil on canvas in a semi-realistic style utilizing Old Master techniques. The vibrant tones of mountains and lakes surrounding her home in the Flathead bring never ending opportunities to express her visions in paintings.
Lindalee’s painting career began after attending Flathead Valley Community College art classes, and she credits the influences of FVCC Professors Susan Guthrie and Charity Flowers, as well as Tonalist Rachel Warner, artists Sunnie LeBlanc and Richie Carter and many painting friends for sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm over the years.
As she continues the process of learning the history of art and the language and techniques of oil painting, a new chapter in her life has opened where a lifelong dream of creating art has come true.
